We hope that these two days were productive for you in terms of both technical knowledge and business contacts.

This year we have gathered nearly 450 people with almost everybody showing up exactly at 9:00 a.m. on the first day (do you remember the long queue in the morning?).

No later than at 9:40 we were ready to begin in 3 theme tracks divided thematically into dev, tests/tools and architecture.

Druing the two days we had plenty of presentations, talks and tutorials:

• 21 presentations on the first day
• mini QA session at the end of the first day
• 15 presentations on the second day
• 3 tutorials on the second day
• 1 workshop right before the conference

We have already collected materials from the conference: you will find photos HERE, while presentations are published HERE . This year we have also recorded all the presentations,so we will publish them as soon as the post-production is done.

At the end of the conference we collected about 100 surveys, which gave us an opprtunity to get feedback about JDD 2012 and subjective assesments of the presentations.

There were two marks for the surveys: how did you like the presentation and your interest in a given topic. Scaled from 1 to 5. Below we present the summary:

The Median for the presentations is 3.76 and for topics of interest at 3.88

After the lunch we will distribute the conference surveys, which we will be gathering at teh registration. At the closing ceremony we will draw prizes for the surveys including: JDD 13 passes, PSP console, retrospective licenses, books funded by Helion, and IntelliJ IDEA licenses.

We have just received a negative confirmation from Michael Hutterman, who had to stay in Frankfurt thus will not be able to join us at JDD.

• Slawomir Sobótka –
  Application programming architect specializing in Java technologies and effective use of software engineering achievements. Trainer and consultant at Bottega IT Solutions ( http://bottega.com.pl ). Enthusiast of Software Craftsmanship.Enthusiast of Software Craftsmanship. His interests contain broadly defined software engineering: architecture of high-performance Web-based systems (CqRS in particular) modeling (DDD in particular), patterns, agile manufacturing processes. As a hobby he is interested in psychology and cognitive science.
• 

  Piotr Bucki –
  CTO and head hunter in j-labs. 7 years of working as a Java developer, then a technical leader and an IT Security consultant and 3 years of being a CTO and coowner of the company led to a balanced view on needs of technolgy and business world. His main interests concern the security if IT technologies, with a focus on web technologies (he has an ISC2 CISSP certificate), Privately he enjoys mountain biking. He has attended every JDD since 2006.

• 

  Dominik Radziszowski –
  is a Ph.D. in technical science and an IT expert specialising in distributed systems, Director of Technology at XTRF Translation Management System, follower of agile methodologies and tools for effective management of IT projects. He provides leadership and management to the IT department in its mission to deliver systems and services that meet the demanding business needs of customers and users of XTRF TMS. Dominik is an author of many publications and holder of many industry certificates (including SCJP, SCJD, and SCEA) and former assistant professor at the AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland.
